We source and sell Vitalleria Nilotica shea butter globally. Nilotica butter is considered the more creamy, richer textured and luxurious shea butter. The Nilotica tree is only found in South Sudan and Northern Uganda, East African.The trees grow wild and are not farmed, only have one cycle per annum, therefore making it more difficult to obtain. Nilotica butter has a lower melting point than West African Shea butter (thanks to its higher oleic acid and lower steric acid properties), meaning that it effortlessly soaks into the skin, has a milder scent, a lower melting point (25-30 degrees Celsius), a higher oleic acid (over 25% per cent), and Vitamin E&K concentrations. This makes nilotica shea butter easier to incorporate into cosmetics additional (minimal) processing, and has a superior texture ( softer, smoother) at room temperature. It melts upon contact with the body and is more readily absorbed by skin and hair, higher nutritive value, milder/lighter nutty aroma It is non-greasy and latex-free.
