Hyaluronic acid is the basis of the skin, joints, connective tissue, and it is with its depletion that the appearance of wrinkles and withering of the skin, age-related changes in the joints are associated. Human health and youth depend on the content of hyaluronic acid in the body, the balance of which becomes negative in middle age. The amount of HA in the skin and connective tissue is regulated by the activity of biosynthetic and degradation enzymes.
