Literature Reference: The study by Nafeeza M. et al. (2015) showed that diosgenin significantly reduced the inflammatory markers in the mouse model.

2. Immune Regulation

Immune Enhancement

Diosgenin has been found to be able to enhance the function of the immune system, promoting the proliferation of lymphocytes and the secretion of immune factors.

Literature Reference: The study by Zhiyong Z. et al. (2018) indicated that it can enhance the phagocytic ability of macrophages.

3. Antitumor Activity

Some studies have pointed out that diosgenin has the effect of inhibiting the growth of certain cancer cells and exerts its effect by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis.

Literature Reference: In the paper published by Khanna S. et al. (2020), diosgenin showed a significant inhibitory effect on breast cancer cells.

4. Hypoglycemic Effect

Diosgenin has demonstrated the potential to lower blood glucose levels in some animal experiments and can improve insulin sensitivity.

Literature Reference: Jiang Y. et al. (2019) reported in their study that diosgenin had a significant impact on the blood glucose levels of diabetic model mice.

5. Neuroprotective Effect

Preliminary studies have shown that diosgenin has the function of protecting nerve cells and helps to improve the symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases.

Literature Reference: Huang G. et al. (2021) mentioned its positive effect in the Alzheimer's disease model.
